Last Friday and Saturday we headed down to Monterey and Carmel for a weekend trip. It was Jacob's first time to the beach.

He loved watching the waves roll in.

Then we headed down to Point Lobos to walk on some trails and see tide pools.

Do you like all of Jacob's hats? Three hats to keep his bald head warm and keep the sun out of his eyes...first time parents, haha.

In the car Jacob was getting the hang of holding his own bottle...I love that he's learning how to do this!

Father's Day!

They have fun together!

Vasona Park/John's Birthday

On Memorial day we went to Vasona Park with my family. It was a really nice day!

Jacob-he's five months old today!

Family photo :)

John's birthday was on Tuesday and we went out to dinner! You can see in the picture that Jacob is pretty fascinated with the candles they gave John (and sorry it's so small).

Mother's Day/San Francisco

I celebrated my first Mother's Day a couple of days ago! I could not have asked for a sweeter baby than Jacob. I love being his mom. I LOVE him so much!

I cannot pass up an opportunity to thank my mom for everything she has done for me. She is truly the best mom! The absolute best! I love you Mom!

Today John, Jacob, and I went to San Francisco! We had so much fun :)

It was a BEAUTIFUL day! Jacob caught his first glimpse of Alcatraz.

Ghirardelli Square! No trip to San Francisco is complete without a hot fudge sundae and free ghirardelli chocolate samples!

We got free candy from Gimbals Fine Candies (a store we saw on the TV show "Unwrapped")!

It was a great day!

Four months

Well it seems silly to post four month old pictures of Jacob when I have never even posted newborn pictures...but I am going to do it anyway! Jacob turned four months old yesterday, May 2nd. He is growing up so fast!

We just love our little boy!

Thanksgiving

John and I went to California for Thanksgiving and we were able to see both of our families while we were there. I headed out a few days before John since he was still in school. While I was there Danielle and Stephanie threw me a baby shower! It was fun and I now feel fully prepared for our baby to come, which is a good thing since he comes in four weeks! Thanks Steph and Danielle, and of course Terilyn and Dana for hosting it at their house!

When John flew out, after his classes ended, we went up to Walnut Creek to see his family! We went to a car show in San Francisco, the De Young Museum, and played lots of fun games. We also went to Fentons, which if you've seen the movie "Up" then you would recognize Fentons as the ice cream place where the old man and the young boy get ice cream at the very end of the movie. The ice cream was so good and HUGE; John and I shared an ice cream sundae and we couldn't finish it. That tells you how big it was especially if you know how much I love ice cream!

Thanksgiving day was spent in Saratoga with my family. John played in the yearly "Turkey Bowl" and then we went to my grandparents' house for dinner.

That night we went to "Tangled", which I would recommend. It was a cute movie. We had such a fun trip! We always love being home and seeing our families. We can't wait until we see everyone again (which happily is in two weeks for my cousin's wedding)!!!

Halloween!

These were our Halloween costumes. We got the idea from my cousin's wife and then found some stencils on a blog. We had fun making the shirts!

Ashley, my sister, was Simon from Alvin and the Chipmunks (Alvin-Andrea and Theodore-Allison).

Side shot at 30 weeks! So far I have been counting up the weeks, but I think from this week on the count-down begins. Less than 10 weeks to go!

It was a fun Halloween!
